8 day from Casablanca
Day 1:
Upon arrival at the airport, commence your exploration of Casablanca city. If your flight arrives early, you can visit the Hassan II Mosque and enjoy the scenic coastal promenade known as the “Cornish.” Later, depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will spend the night at your Riad or hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast, visit the iconic Hassan Mosque in Rabat before journeying to Meknès, the former 16th-century capital known for its ruler Moulay Ismail, who emulated France’s ‘Sun King,’ Louis XIV. Explore the historical wonders of Meknès with a guided tour, followed by a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Enjoy lunch and continue your journey to Fez, where you will stay overnight in a Riad.
Day 3:
Begin your day with breakfast at your Riad or hotel in Fez. Explore the ancient city of Fez, renowned as the world’s oldest imperial city and home to the first university dating back to the 9th century. Discover the well-preserved medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere of the Medina through a guided tour, visiting landmarks such as the Quaraouine University, Medersa Attarine, Kingdom Palace, Ben Denane synagogue, and the bustling souks. After lunch, visit a tiles cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of the Medina of Fez.
Day 4:
Embark on a journey from your hotel or Riad in Fez, heading south towards Ifrane and Azrou through the picturesque Middle Atlas mountains. En route, pause at the cedar forest to observe Barbary Apes in their natural habitat. Traverse the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the Ziz Gorges. Continue through the Ziz valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. After lunch, experience a camel trek to a Berber camp nestled amidst the Erg Chebbi Sand dunes, where you’ll spend the night immersing yourself in the nomadic Berber lifestyle.
Day 5:
Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before camel-trekking back to your hotel. After breakfast, journey through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, passing through the scenic route of the thousand Kasbahs. Explore the Rose Valley, Skoura village, and Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the renowned Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before continuing your journey.
Day 6:
After breakfast, travel through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ Tichka pass over the High Atlas Mountains, pausing to admire panoramic views and visit an argan oil cooperative. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and embark on a tour of the city, exploring key landmarks such as the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadiens tombs, and Bahia Palace. Enjoy lunch near the square and delve into the vibrant souks. In the late afternoon, you’ll have leisure time to explore other parts of Marrakech.
Day 7:
Depart for Casablanca airport, ensuring you arrive at least two hours before your flight departure time.
